How Can I Keep From Singing?

My life flows on in endless song,
Above earth's lamentation.
I hear the real, though far-off, hymn,
That hails a new creation.
Through all the tumult and the strife
I hear the music ringing;
It sounds an echo in my soul—
How can I keep from singing?

I lift my eyes, the cloud grows thin;
I see the blue above it;
And day by day this pathway smooths,
Since first I learned to love it.
The peace of Christ makes fresh my heart,
A fountain ever springing;
All things are mine since I am His,
How can I keep from singing?

I love this hymn. No, that's not strong enough. I passionately adore it. Keep an eye out for what it started... it'll be here soon enough :mysterious: ;)
Until then - I am your friendly blogger...

Think of Me...

Think of me think of me fondly, when we've said goodbye remember me once in a while, please promise me you'll try...

"Think of Me" is my most recent 'big' aria, and also one of my favorite pieces. Working the background work for the piece (ie, deciding how you're going to 'attack' it, etc), has been very easy work. Which is good, because Bello Cante style insists upon it. After all, who of us has never felt this way, even if we didn't put it into words? When saying goodbye to dear friends, after a weekend with family, or even, as with Christine, thinking of someone she loved. And sometimes, inspite of ourselves, we fall into the same way of thinking. Of longing for better and happier times. In a small way, perhaps it's good for us. I hope so. This week has had times when I felt just like that. :)

When you find, that once again you long to take your heart back, and be free if you ever find a moment, spare a thought for me We never said our love was evergreen or as unchanging as the sea... but if you can still remember, stop and think of me

Think of all the things we've shared and seen, don't think about the things which might have been Think of me think of me waking, silent and resigned... imagine me, trying too hard to put you from my mind...

Recall those days, look back on all those times, think of the things we'll never do... there will never be a day when I won't think of you

So yes. I'm thrilling to think of performing this song onstage.
